All proprioceptive therapies are not alike.  Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy is a complex treatment that was developed specifically to permanently eliminate or greatly reduce chronic musculoskeletal pain caused by two common, inherited abnormal foot structures - the Rothbarts Foot and the PreClinical Clubfoot Deformity.

A vital part of this therapy is the use of prescriptive proprioceptive insoles.  That is, the insole design and fabrication is determined by the results of extensive proprietary computer analyses of the patient's posture.  

The end result of permanent pain elimination can only be achieved by running these analyses, designing an insole based on the results, and by following the entire procedure of Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy. It has come to my attention that Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy is being represented as simply putting a prefabricated insole under your foot.  This is erroneous and far from the truth.

My insole patent, much to my dismay, is now being used to prefabricate proprioceptive insoles, which are being sold to doctors (who are inadequately trained in the use of my insoles and my therapy) as well as directly to the unaware public.

If you have a Rothbarts Foot, a PreClinical Clubfoot Deformity, or any other abnormal foot structure which can cause chronic pain, you must undergo the necessary tests and analyses in order to determine the correct insole prescription to resolve the problem.  Not doing so, is like buying a potent, potentially dangerous drug over the counter, without first obtaining an examination, evaluation and the correct prescription from your doctor.

When proprioceptive insoles are used incorrectly, meaning the wrong type or strength for your individual needs, they will not work.  In fact, they could make your chronic pain problem(s) much worse.  Do not put your health at risk.
