Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy is a natural approach to eliminating chronic
musculoskeletal pain. This non-drug and non-surgical therapy gives the body what it needs in order to begin the reparative process and heal itself permanently.
Even though many patients feel a great reduction of their pain immediately upon
starting Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy, the body still has to undergo its healing
process. After many years of muscle and joint inflammation and the resulting
damage to the entire body, it takes time for the body to repair and restore itself to wellbeing.
The shifts in posture that occur during Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy can also
create shifts throughout the entire body. These postural shifts can create other
changes in the body and they must be addressed in order for the body to heal. Full
body monitoring is required to oversee the patient’s progress and address problems as they arise, including consulting outside specialists when necessary, to insure the speediest possible recovery of the patient.
During this time, doctor/patient communication is essential and the patient’s
commitment to doing what is required to regain one’s health is crucial to success.
Hence before starting therapy, each person must ask him or herself if he is ready to commit the time and energy and make the financial investment necessary to permanently eliminate his pain and regain his health.
In order to help you decide if Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy is right for you, the
following information outlines the commitments that are made by the patient and by Professor/Dr. Rothbart at the onset of your therapy.
Commitment of Time
Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy can take from 6 to 18 months (8 – 10 visits) to complete. Appointments are scheduled within a certain time frame because as the body starts to heal, new tests and analyses may have to be run and your prescriptive insoles may have to be changed. The average time frame between appointments is every two or three months, but this varies from patient to patient.
Commitment of Communication
Close communication is kept with Professor/Dr. Rothbart during your entire treatment. Part of this communication includes weekly updates, which you are required to email to Professor/Dr. Rothbart. These weekly updates help him to monitor your progress and determine if there are any issues that need immediate attention.
Commitment of Financial Investment to Restore Your Health
Because of the complexity of issues that comes with a person who is in severe
chronic musculoskeletal pain, particularly one who has been suffering for years,
there is a great deal of expertise and time required for diagnosis, monitoring and
treatment. The amount of damage that has been done to the body as a result of the Rothbart Foot structure determines exactly what will have to be done and the length of time necessary to complete the therapy.
For this reason the cost of Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy varies from patient to
patient. Professor/Dr. Rothbart can give you a clearer estimate of total cost after he has received sufficient information about your chronic pain problem, either during your initial consultation or after running the first series of tests.
However, knowing that the process will take, on average, from a year to a year and a half, one must recognize that a financial commitment is required to restoring your health completely. Starting the therapy and not committing to the ongoing
monitoring of all of the changes your body is going through, due to the process of healing, can put you at risk for more problems in the future.
The only way to insure you will be restored to wellness is to be 100% committed to doing what is necessary to rid yourself of your chronic muscle and joint pain.
Professor/Dr. Rothbart is 100% committed to using all of his resources, knowledge and expertise he has gained over his 40 years of research and clinical practice to help free his patients from their chronic musculoskeletal pain. He will take whatever time is required and will bring in additional specialists if necessary to insure that each one of his patients can once again enjoy a pain free life.
Reading and understanding the necessity of these doctor/patient commitments will
help you decide if you are ready to work with Professor/Dr. Rothbart to resolve your previously irresolvable chronic musculoskeletal pain and get your life back.
